If anyone has an idea what to try next, I'd really appreciate it. I don't know if this is relevant, but I do have a custom boot image applied by ROM Toolbox, and that's where the tablet is stuck.

I've reset user data twice but no luck......  so far. I'm shutting it off and charging the battery for now.

I'm having the same issue. I've reset data, wiped cache, and I'm still stuck on the boot image.

I was prompted to upgrade in Notifications.
2012 model.
Rooted.
