Thx for all the advice...It seems that what I am after will work...sort of...My daughter will only be using the N7 for games (kids type, Sonic, bubble shoot, fruit ninja, etc - anyone coma across a 'mario type' racing?), playing music & watching cartoons - essentially an entertainment system Anyway, I am going to take the plunge and try this, worst case, I 'lose' all the apps I paid for with the free £15 ($25) - which is fine, if I get the N7 to operate the way I need. If not, I can always set back to my original account - I assume. (neither of the N7s are rooted, & not likely to be in the short term - beyond me anyway!!!!) It is hard to explain exactly what I am after, but I know what I want , if anyone comes up with ideas, I will check back & also update when I have done this...thx all Mark

Thx for reply, but I am 'tablet illiterate!!' - sorry. If I factory reset...can I re-assign to another account? - I will lose apps this way I assume.
If I were to install 2 gmail accounts on daughter's N7, my original gmail still needs to be there (or can I delete it?). Will apps still update?
The reason is so that any original emails sent to the gmail account I obviously do not want to be picked up on her N7 but on my new one.
Very confusing..apols

Hi, I know there is a thread on MUAs, but this is not what I need...I have contacted Google 'help' , but not very helpful. Anyway, I now have 2 N7s, 1 for me, the other will be for my daughter (she is special needs). Both N7s are assigned to my original gmail account. I have also set up another gmail account, thinking I can easily transfer 1 N7 to this - it appears I cannot do this (according to google help). My daughter will use it for the games(can't find a Mario equivalent - any pointers???), movies & music that I download for her. Mine is used for all the normal things that it was bought for So, before I reset a N7, could anyone advise on the best way to achieve this & how will I retain the previously purchased apps? Many thanks, Mark

Hi, I would like to buy another N7 (for my daughter - special needs). I created another gmail account in my name, but can't seem to link them prior to me buying another.
My questions...
1. Do I have to do this or can I buy another N7? 2. What is the best way to manage this N7 (I need to do it)? 3. Can I have the apps purchased (kids ones) on my original also link to this one too?
Any advice much appreciated.
TIA
Mark

I also have googledrive/dropbox, but you could not do this when you are on holiday, as if they were on computer - just attach N7 . If this was the case, then I just bring the computer!!!! The simple answer would be to allow the N7 to read external cards for this very purpose (it seems that there is no easy way without 'hacking' the N7 ) - unless someone knows different - a '1 - click root' for noobs!!! Hi, Excellent idea Went to the UK site to find out more. Excerpt on what is needed... 1 "...A broadband Internet connection 2 A Wi-Fi router compatible with 802.11b/g/n on the 2.4GHz band. Note: 5 GHz band is not supported. 3 A computer with Windows XP (SP3)/Vista/7 or Mac OSX (Intel) 10.5, or 10.6 (Snow Leopard) 4 100MB of free space 5 A compatible iOS or Android device (required to use Direct Mode only)" Before I email company, has anyone used these cards (connected to N7 even better)? My queries would be around 1 & 2 - needed, and how does 5 on N7 connect? (update...just checked site for compatible cameras, mine is not on it - canon ixus 120 ) TIA Mark

Hi, Thx for quick reply. Not too worried about Q1, but unable to view photos while on holiday is annoying (I know you could bring a laptop, but that sort of defeats the purpose!). I don't really want to 'root' a new device (don't know how anyway), as copying pics should be easier that having to do this....pity Looks like its leave N7 & home and bring netbook (no I don't want to bring both! - pointless for what I want to do). Perhaps Google or 'partner will bring out something that will allow you to do this Mark

Hi, Been 'playing' with N7 for a few days & most of the queries I had, have been sorted, however, two still strike me as 'obvious'
1. References have been made to the 'Google Now' &/or maps. But am I missing the point, the N7 does not have access to 3g. So without tethering to 3g contract, these are unavailable!!! I know N7 has wifi, but without free hotspots or 'tethering', still the same result!
2. Its portable, so take it on holiday (foreign). How do you get the photos from your camera (a real one) onto the N7? - do you need to 'root' the N7???
Thoughts would be appreciated, especially Q2.
TIA

Hi, I know the N7 is a great device...nearly (IMHO). I would like to remove the 'search/mic' on home page & a few of the 'built in apps' that I will never use & maybe include the ability to link to a usb drive. Anyway, tempted as I am to try 'rooting', I will wait for a definitive guide that has been tested & proven Hopefully soon!!! Mark

Hi, i am moving from ipad where I use Goodreader (whhich is very good - no pun intended!). I have now got Astro File viewer & also tried ES File Explorer, both of which are ok, but anyone that has used Goodreader will know that it is one of the best for the ipad. Question: Is there an equivalent??? TIA Mark
