New Nexus 7 Help (2nd Gen) / Help! Widgets gone missing from apps!

Hi all, after a factory reset my Nexus 7 has lost all it's widgets! They can be found nowhere on the tablet, the shortcuts have gone from the app page and all previous widgets have mysteriously disappeared!

My nexus 7 is completely devoid of even the word widget!
