Well I initially ordered a screen without the LCD part attached (not sure what use they are? As I couldn't find any LCD displays for sale separately on eBay), so hopelessly attempted to separate the screen lens from the LCD part. Destroying both parts. Ta

Hi All

I recently tucked my nexus 7 under my arm, instantly forgot it was there, reached for something, and let it smash to the ground! Cracking the screen. I ordered a new screen with the LCD thingy attached, fitted it.......and it won't do anything!
It's a brand new screen, not a s/h one. When disassembling it, I did unwittingly pull on the ribbon cable a bit, as I didn't realise it was hooked onto the slotted hole it fits thru. I wondered if there was any incompatibility issues with a later screen and an early 1st gen N7?

Any help v mucho appreciated :-)
