After having posted my comments above, I revisited the Amazon product page and I see that other purchasers of this case are now posting their experiences with the same issue. Those looking to buy a case with the magnetic close feature will have to keep this issue in mind, although I don't know how you would be able to research it other than to wait for customer comments to accumulate.

Nexus 7 Accessories / Possible random sleep mode issue w/magnetic case« on: August 12, 2012, 09:22:21 PM »
About a week ago I started using a magnetic case with my Nexus 7 (Slim Fit Leather Case by SupCase-http://www.amazon.com/Google-Nexus-Tablet-Leather-Supcase/dp/B008HDLI9Y/) and shortly thereafter, the tablet would randomly go into sleep mode when I had the front cover folded behind with the magnets now on the backside of the magnetic edge of the tablet.
Although I can feel no magnetic attraction between the tablet and the cover magnets through the two layers of leather in this position, I have never experienced an unintentional sleep mode activation with the cover open to the left, nor did I in the week and a half I used the tablet prior to getting the case. Although it's all circumstantial evidence at this point, I'm wondering if the magnetic latch on the tablet is so sensitive that merely having magnets in its vicinity is enough to trigger activation of the sleep mode. If anyone else has had a similar experience, or perhaps some other evidence, I would like to hear about it. 3
Nexus 7 Help / Re: Register?« on: August 12, 2012, 08:42:46 PM »
As far as hardware warranty support, your dated purchase receipt is all that is needed.
Regarding software and media, log into your Google account via the dashboard (https://www.google.com/dashboard/) and all your account activity should be there for problem support. 4
Nexus 7 Connect (MicroUSB, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, NFC, Pogo Pin) / Re: Using USB OTG on a rooted Nexus 7 with Stickmount - what am I missing?« on: August 12, 2012, 08:18:59 PM »
Do you have SuperSU installed? I would open SuperSU and look under the Apps tab to see if StickMount is registered, and if so, click on its entry to see if has been granted (superuser) access rights. If not, you should be able to grant access at that point.
Also, on my tablet, the USB drive was mounted on /storage/sdcard0/usbStorage/sda1 rather than on /mnt/usbdrive/sda1, where I expected to find it. 5
New Member Introductions / Yet Another New Nexus Owner« on: August 12, 2012, 07:53:57 PM »
Hello, everyone. I'm new to the Android world, but have logged a number of professional stints in the cousins' worlds of Unix and Linux over the past 25 years.
This is also my first tablet, which now seems strange to me since I've spent most of my professional life in the IT industry (software development) and most of my friends have had tablets for many years now. I'm looking forward to learning from all of you and perhaps becoming a useful contributor in the future.
