Nexus 7 General Discussion / What to do before selling N7 1st version?
« on: October 09, 2015, 02:25:45 PM »
I am selling my N7, 1st version, Android 5.1.1, what do I need to do to clean it up before I sell it?

Thanks, it worked like a charm! ;D

My N7 is about 2 years old, running 5.0.2. I was recently given a 4 year old iPad when my stepson upgraded. I would like to remove most of the Apps on the N7 and set it up to use as a reader only. I will need the WiFi to download books, but I think that is all I will need except for Clean Master.
I have been using it primarily as a reader but I constantly need to keep all the other stuff up to date, and the battery life is pretty short.
I need simple advice as I an not a Techie and my 82 year old brain doesn't work too well.

1. Google Play Games
2. Google Play Movies & TV
3. Google Books
4. Google Pinyin
5. Google Play Music
6. Google Docs
7. Google Play Newsstand
8. Google Slices
9. Google Hindi Input

Nexus 7 Help / I need a decible meter for my N7.
« on: December 16, 2014, 12:21:29 PM »
I have a 2013 automobile that is driving me nuts. There is a lot of wind noise around the windshield.
I am going to tape up around the windshield, then fronts of doors and windows  etc. so I can isolate the problem before I take it to the dealer. It would be good if I can show them the amount of wind noise I hear.
Yes, I did have my hearing thoroughly tested recently, they could not find anything wrong and would not sell me anything to mask the noise.
Can anyone recommend a sound (decibel) meter app that works with the N7?

New Nexus 7 Help (2nd Gen) / N7 won't connect.
« on: December 03, 2014, 04:22:39 PM »
2 wireless computers connect to my home network. Keeps telling me N7 won't connect, shows authenticating when I try to connect. When I tap "forget' and enter the correct password it immediately shows failed.
It worked at the Doctor's office this morning!
This is now a 3 day problem.

My face is red!
Right click and delete works perfect, even easier to what it was.

Nexus 7 Help / Can't delete "On Device" Kindle books SOLVED!
« on: March 27, 2014, 01:13:59 PM »
I have been using N7 to read Kindle books for over a year but since the last Kindle upgrade I Can't remove books "On Device".
Until that time there was 3 horizontal square dots in the upper corner, when tapped it would give the opportunity to remove books but that has been deleted.
What now?

Thanks Martyh, I got it working.
Every time I searched for the PC Google Calendar it came up with the paid for "Business" calendar, I finally used the Chat and was given the free URL.
I am happy now and appreciate your help.

Does GPS Doctor work with N7 Model ME370T?
My N7 seems way to slow to get a signal, looking for an app that may help. I checked and the N7 is up to date.

"Hold your finger on the CNN app icon located in your app screen (six dots) middle of the docked launcher.. Holding your finger on any app lcon will allow you to drag it or copy it to the home screen as a shortcut."

I don't know what "the CNN app icon located in your app screen (six dots) middle of the docked launcher" means. I don't understand the six dots or the docked launcher.

I have moved apps around on the main screen.
