Can you please tell me how I remove and email account from my Nexus 7. The only way I found was to call up an email account and rename it. However there must be another way??

I have followed instructions and try to download music from my PC to my Nexus. It comes up with This device has either stopped working or has been disconnected. When I go into the music folder on my Nexus some music files are there. As any one else have this problem. If they are in the music file on the nexus, how do I play them?  Any advice greatly appreciated as I am losing what little hair that I have left.
