Hi,
My Nexus 7 did an upgrade a couple of days ago to the version 6.0, and afterwards it won't rotate the screen anymore. I never use my tablet in the portrait mode, I always use it in the landscape mode, I haven't found any cases for it that will support it in the portrait position and I like to set it on the table or bed or whatever, so I need it to be landscape.
On top of that, it will only show in the portrait mode with the power connector on the bottom, so if i use an external stand or lean it against something, i can't do it with the power cord connected.
This is very irritating, does anyone know of a way to make this work?
Yes, I've checked and even turned on and off the auto-rotate. It makes no difference. I've also tried rebooting the device, to no avail.

My Nexus 7 upgraded to Android 5 a couple of days ago, and I have to say, I am not happy. I don't like it, and on top of that, it is very buggy and I want to get rid of it. Is it possible to roll it back to where it was a few days ago before it did the automatic update?

Hi,
My son was playing with my Nexus 7 a couple of weeks ago, and now I have about 100 ross lynch pictures in my gallery that I can't get rid of. I can't find them no matter how I search, but I have noticed that they have a little picasa icon on them. I don't use and have never had picasa, and it doesn't appear to be on my device, and yet, here are all these stupid pictures.
Can anyone help me get rid of these things?

When I am not connected to a Wifi, and open my google maps, it won't show my location and gives me a message saying there is no network connection.
I go to my GPS test, and it sees many satellites at good strength and seems to be working.
Why can't I get the google maps to work off the gps satellites alone? Is this right or am I doing something wrong?
Also, I can't find any way to turn the GPS function on or off or see a status on it at all other than using the GPS Test app I downloaded from google play. Is this the way it is supposed to be or am I somehow looking in the wrong place?
I would appreciate any insight any of you may have! :-)

My first gen Nexus 7 is upgrading from whatever it upgraded to last time, to Android 4.4. Since this is all automatic and I don't keep up like I should, I am wondering. What will this upgrade give me that I didn't have before?

Now that these things have been around for a while, what apps have you all found that work best for downloading and listening to Podcasts?

Since I've got 2 Nexus 7's in my household, every time I go to download an app, both of them show up in the drop down menu, and I end up having to download every item twice and then delete it from the Nexus I don't want it on, because in the drop down menu my phone comes up and Nexus 7 comes up twice.
How can I give my 2 Nexus 7's unique names so that I don't have to do this anymore? After I've given them unique names, will the play store and computers and even my Cerberus automatically note the name change? Or will they simply not recognize the devices anymore?

Hey everyone,
Is there any way to get my fullsize picture as wallpaper? I always seem to get this expandable box that only lets me use part of the picture when I try to use one as wallpaper-

New Nexus, and now I can't remember how I added a second language to it. I am an English speaker living in Sweden, but need to occasionally use the extra Swedish vowels. On my old Nexus I was able to make the keyboard so it had a button I could push on it, and it would switch to Swedish and let me use the vowels, and then I could touch the button again to go back to English. Now when I try to do language things, it just switches the whole thing to Swedish, which is not at all what I want. Can anyone help me? After this is done, then I need to tackle getting Swype back on the device!

I've just upgraded to a new 32Gb from my old 8Gb model, and now can't find where I lock the orientation of my screen in a particular way. I locked my old one, and used it through all the updates, but now can't find one? Can anyone tell me where to find this? Thanks in advance!

My mom bought both my son and I Nexus 7's last August when we were in the states visiting her in Ohio and gave them to us. She ordered them through google directly. We brought them back to Sweden with us, where we live.
Now my son's battery seems to be dead and it won't charge. I have switched the battery between his and mine, and the won't charge problem follows the battery. My battery charges just fine in his unit as well.
I asked my mom if she still has the receipt she undoubtedly got from google via email at the time, and she doesn't and her email only keeps stuff she discards for one month. So I don't have a receipt.
I am assuming these things have a one year warranty, although I don't know that for sure. This product is so new, all of them should still be under warranty, right? So the receipt shouldn't be that much of an issue, especially since google must track these things by serial number?
So, my question, does anyone know what I have to do to get google or Asus to replace the battery in my son's Nexus 7?
I thought to just buy a new battery, but the only one I could find online was 90 bucks, which seems a bit extreme for a 200 dollar device. My son loves his (as do I, actually) and I would really like to get this fixed. It is only 3 months old.

I have some legitimately gotten books in .mobi format that I'd like to add to my Kindle, I can read them in my Aldiko book reader, but I'd like to have all my books through one app, and since I already have several hundred books on my Kindle account, and the kindle app works better than the Alkido one does, I'd like to use Kindle.
Anyone know how to do this?
