Well it's available, as I have installed it on mine.

Lollipop 5.1 is out now, so make sure you are up to date.

You could use WugFresh's Toolkit to flash the stock OS. There's an option you can set saying that your device is in in Soft Bricked mode, I think it's called.

Have a read of S.Prime's instructions on how to do it.

Nice.

My wife's non-rooted/locked Nexus 5 still hasn't got the update yet :)

Just updated my Nexus 5, 7 and 10 today to Android 5.1 Lollipop.

Didn't use the OTAs, but took a Titanium backup just in case, flashed stock Android via WugFresh's NRT, rooted them and hey-presto, all done.

You can disable the notification for the upgrade. When there is a notification, long press on it, click on app data and turn off notifications.

If I remember correctly, the actual downloaded file is in /cache.

8
Use WUG FRESH's toolkit and use the guide that S. Prime has written up.

I used to use StickMount, but found issues, so I still use NMI on my rooted devices.

You can transfer video to flash drives and with an OTG cable, connect to your tablet then use Nexus Media Importer.

11
I had the issue on my Nexus 5, 7 and 10 on the 5.0 updates and I didn't use the No Wipe option.

Update on my Nexus 7 to 5.02 using No Wipe worked OK though.

At least I'm aware.

Is the Storage Space issue a bug, or just a consequence of using a toolkit ??

Does anyone know ??

You'll need to use a Toolkit, such as Wugfresh's, and re-flash the version you want.

If you're not rooted, you can't, unless you use the Toolkit to root first.

Great guide S.Prime.

I already do exactly as you have posted, but I do wipe the data area after rooting via TWRP rather than a factory reset.

I also copy my Titanium backup to my PC rather than the cloud for speed.

Also export settings from several apps as not all settings are backed up/restored fully.

These include Nova Launcher, AndFTP and ES FILE EXPLORER.

You can still get the Gallery apk if you have a pre-lollipop device to hand.

You can back it up via ES FILE EXPLORER and then copy it to your Lollipop device and install.
