I cannot connect to the play store or some other links when I search anymore. It happens on Chrome and Firefox. I get error messages that look like this. This was when searching for Nexus10 and clicking on the play store link. Is it a virus?

I thought it might be cool to add some real personality to the community here by possibly having a get together.
I don't really know how many can join at once but I thought it would be cool to meet everyone that wants to face to face. If there is a better way of doing this than Google please give your thoughts. If it is just an invasion of privacy and a bad idea then I understand. You wont be at the first reunion party.

I have read some problems when trying to restore a Nandroid with this new update. Has anyone tried? I was going to try and use Wugs .5 toolkit to do a backup but couldn't even find a build or up to date JB.no dug further and saw that folks are having problems restoring in this new build. (Is it a build?) I am talking part ignorant. Anyway, I did a nandroid backup on the Nexus but I am not sure really if it will work. If I have a problem from here what do I do to restore my unit to exactly where I am now?
Thanks for explaining this to me like I am a three year old.

I don't know if it is from the update but in have had a few real laggy moments. Almost frozen. They happened mostly when starting from the lock screen. I never use a lock screen but was testing that 3d looking widget. Anyway, I dumped it and seem to be running better. I have also noticed that Bluetooth speaker is causing a stutter when used with my Wi-Fi connection. I had this issue before with my 16. Wifi connection is cutting in and out so YouTube and Google music is really annoying.

I keep getting this error when I search and then link using, Google search and then Chrome. I tried uninstalling Chrome updates going back to factory.. Etc.. Any ideas? Forum isn't allowing to post a screen shot.
For instance. If I search for Nexus 10 it takes me to Chrome page. If I choose the first link on the page I get the services error spash page

I have tried what it seems for hours. Many, many different apps including Google voice with Groove IP which I had high hopes for in combination with numerous different bluetooth speakers, headsets and earphones. I am frustrated. Not as frustrated as my wife who has to answer my numerous test calls which make a "do you hear me now" commercial pretty comical. I have tried running wifi in the house and 4G connection that is at over 5megs
d/l and almost a Meg up. I am not expecting crystal clear conversation but I really just want it to be acceptable. Is this asking too much using the tools and technology that is available right now?

I was at Best Buy today. I saw this Hot spot...it's a little square thing with service from Clear. I swore I would not pay a penny more for data. I have Internet at home and a cell phone with unlimited data that I tether under the table. Some people have been getting threatened by Boost to be thrown off the service because of the illegal tethering. It's against the tos. So I have been getting a little squirrelly. I get decent speed but not good enough to keep a movie streaming on Netflix or even keep my Slingbox running nice but I can get online anywhere.
After asking a few questions, 4G? $50 for the unit? 39.99 total a month for 40GB? 59 for unlimited? What if I go over? You can start a new cycle right there sir. Hmmm. What if it doesn't work in my area or just sucks? You have 15 days to try it out for a full refund. 8 devices at once? This little thing? Yes 8. I justified myself into taking one. I'm going to see where 40 gets my family in a month. I figure I can cut my phone down to just calls. I can text from the The Nexus. I figure I can save around 25 bucks a month or so that way, not have to worry about getting snagged tethering and the thing is really fast. We had my kids Xbox live shooting Em up with no lag, daughter on the Internet, and I was watching Slingbox and it was running smooth. Impressed. I might cancel my home service with Comcast. I am going to give it a couple weeks to see if the ether wears off but so far I really like it. I worry that 4G is kind of spotty so we will see how it does when I take a road trip. I'm loving blazing speed on the walks around the hood! I am interested to see the pricing now for powering the new nexus for a month. I might have to make a change...

I am a maniac when it comes to trying to keep my sandbox clean. With an app like Root Explorer I see something that disturbs me every time I open up the sd file /folders page. It's seems that busybox stericson is busy throwing random files all over my sandbox. What's that all about? Won't they function neatly placed in their own folder? Can I gather them and make a folder called stericson or whatever and organize them? I saw one file that wasn't even labeled until I went I to its properties...it said .ENREF I need to clean this mess up without jacking something up. I am still a little scared of busybox and SuperSU because they seem like they don't like to play. Mess wit Em and you end up with a broken android in a dumpster somewhere.

I have tried 5 different blue tooth speakers since getting my Nexus.
Ihome, Soundfreaq, JBL Flips and Jambox. Each one just wasn't very good. The last one I tried being the Big Jambox. It is comparable to the Bose Sound link. This thing rocks. It isn't as portable as the others I have had but still has a 10 plus hour battery life. I can bring it room to room with no problem. I love bringing my music with me in the morning when I shower. Helps me wake up! Great bass and volume.
Movies are incredible. It has a live sound option that really does an amazing job at spacializing. It gives the illusion of speakers around the room. It is kind of pricey retail over 250 but I was lucky enough to find one on CL for half that. Now I just need to sell my mini Jambox!

I don't see my build number in the choices. Any ideas? The Nexus upgraded itself to 4.1.2 when I start it. I want to unlock and root and add my backup if possible. I get a fast boot error when I hook her up. Here we go again. Rookie time. Lol

I was at the store looking for a Gauntlet drive and I asked about the Nexus. They had the 16 on sale for 199 but no 32 or 8s on display. I had to ask a manager if they had a 32 because the sales guy didn't know they were out yet. When the box was in my hands I just had to have it.

I have problems with Google search. Voice or text takes forever to give me results. I have tried several wifi hookups and I even cleared the app which just made Google Now start from scratch. This used to happen to me when I had a Bluetooth speaker hooked up and I would have to disconnect it. Bluetooth is off now. Any ideas?
