Droid life is reporting that an LG nexus phone may be out this month and that it'll launch with 4.2. If true I would expect the Nexus 7 to be updated to 4.2 around the same time yes?

Good question. I believe it uses a lithium ion polymer battery. These batteries are SUPPOSED to last many years. But we will see.

Interesting. But I couldn't care less. When I'm on a road trip I simply use the FOXFI app on my phone to create a free wifi hotspot. Then I can connect my nexus 7 and download a books or whatever else.
