Yes, many of my apps are on both my tablet and phone. That's why I prefer to use Google Play from my windows machine's browser. I can tell it which of my devices to install the app on, much handier than having to go to Google Play on each device and install the app.

It never would've occurred to me to check the battery connection. Thanks for the suggestion.

Glad you go it working. It's weird how we all think differently. I would have automatically opened the back and checked the connections and it probably wouldn't occur to me to post on a forum about it!

. I thought the op was trying to change file names and such.. I still think a file explorer would make life a lot easier to run the ball.

Yes, the OP will be able to do those things with a File Explorer but not until he gets the photos PHYSICALLY on the N7. That's what Bigtroutz and I are trying to get across.

I still don't think you understood what I said, forgive me if I misunderstand you. The fact that NMI lets you see the pictures on the SD card does NOT mean they are imported to the N7. In order to get your pictures on to the N7 you must do an explicit save of the pictures to a folder on your N7. Until you actually have the pictures on the N7, your email program will not be able to access them.

I've loaded my pics from my camera into the Nexus Media Importer from my SD card. They appear in the Importer, but not in my Picasa or Quickpic program. How do I get them there so I can send them e-mail with my Nexus? Maybe I'm going about it the wrong way. I'm lost again. - -

Did you actually copy the files to your N7 using Nexus Media Importer or did you just see that they show up there? Your email program won't be able to see the pictures on the SD card, only the Nexus Media Importer can see them. You need to actually copy the pics from the SD card to the N7's internal storage before the email program or ES File Explorer will be able to find them. Ypu do this by selecting the pics you wish to copy to the N7 and clicking on the Save icon.

... So, yes, you just don't see.
OR - I don't need or want to stream that Flash content! Regardless, XBMC isn't useful to me.

XBMC works OK on it, not sure what you mean by the "usual channels". I really don't care for XBMC so after seeing that it worked OK, I uninstalled it.
I've tried XBMC on Windows, Linux and Android and don't see what the hubbub is regarding it as it just seems to add an additional software layer that's not needed. I prefer to use a video player app to play vids, a music player app to play music, a picture viewer to view pics, a weather app to check the weather, etc... don't need all those rolled into a single app with a terrible interface.

Sounds intriguing. I would definitely upgrade if it had HDMI out and a microSD card slot.

I came late to the party, only got 12G free. Hopefully they will update the service to be more useful. It's too simplistic now without enough control over what I want stored or not stored there.

I don't think there is a way to specify the preferred network. It seems to only give preference to whichever SSID has the strongest signal.

I looked at MediaFire but what I don't like abut the free account is that there is a max file size of 200MB. You'd have to pay for their "Pro" Plan to be able to store files up to 4G in size. I was hoping to be able to stream movies from MediaFire to my N7 but 200M is too small of a file size for that and 4.50/month is more than I would be willing to pay to be able to have larger file sizes.
