How do I choose a ROM for my device on XDA ?

Look and see which ones had the most views  ;D

Scientific huh !  :P

That being said Paranoid Android is fantastic.  Because the Nexus 7" screen  sits between phone and tablet ( phablet ), the ability to resize all your components whether it be the workspace, notification bars, apps is fantastic.

Wish I'd had PA for my original Samsung Galaxy Tab 7".

$99 ?I can buy direct from Lenovo for $75 with shipping here in OZ :)

My Thinkpad hasn't seen much action since I got my Nexus. I picked it up last night for the first time since getting the Nexus and it was just so big and heavy.

I'm going to try an Adonit  http://adonit.net/product/jot-pro/ and  gosmart capacitive pen http://justgosmart.com/stylus/ and see how I go running Quill and Sketchbook Pro on the Nexus :)

It'll be just like the "old days" ( less than a year ago) before the Thinkpad had proper palm rejection, but it just might work :)

I know there's a few members here who have come via the Thinkpad Tablet route.

Well if you're got the keyboard folio case (http://the-gadgeteer.com/2012/07/23/lenovo-thinkpad-tablet-keyboard-folio-case-quick-review/ ) here's what you get :)

The Folio Keyboard really is a good keyboard and you only need to add a $1 OTG cable.  It might not be the neatest or lightest solution about but............

With the "death" of Lenovo's Tablet it might be worth keeping your eyes peeled as you might be able to pick up the Folio cheap

Nexus 7 Apps / Re: Nexus answers your questions verbally??

Open up Google Now ( swipe up from the bottom). You'll end up in ....Google Now ... a search bar with a microphone to the right.  Hit the settings menu ( 3 vertical squares) on the bottom right.  You may have to scroll up  a bit.

Make sure you have the correct language chosen here.   Makes a big difference to how accurate it recognises your voice.  English (US ) was shite, but once I'd change to English (Australia), then recognition was much better.

Do note thought that you can't use the "Detect Hot Word" i.e. say "Google" to activate unless you've got it set to English(US).  No biggie, but confused the *&(k out of my for a while :)

Don't get much time to play long winded and complexed games these days, so recently I've really been getting into Major Mayhem.

It's free and though you can purchase more upgrades, you can easily get through it with a bit of patience without having to pay anything else.

It's fun, easy, fast and uncomplicated :)

When I first go my N7 I really wanted to keep it stock JB, especially since I've got some reviews to write up on the N7, but alas, it was too restrictive in a number of ways.

First step was to change the launcher to Apex.

Then found a few other shortcomings and the way I normally find alternative roms is look at the number of views on the XDA threads. :P

Paranoid Android had the highest views and suits what I wanted perfectly.   The fact that I can change the DPI of almost any component independently is great, means I don't have to do the global DPI hack ( my eyes aren't as good as they used to be) :)

Ian from The Gadgeteer here.

Have currently moved from the Thinkpad Tablet Forum to here just like a few of you by the looks of it.

I'm still using my TPT, just not as much.

Had the N7 for a couple of weeks and loving it. I really did want to keep it stock JB, especially for review purposes, but there's a couple of short comings i just couldn't live with, so it was pretty quickly rooted and now running Paranoid Android.  The flexibility this gives you for screen layouts is fantastic, and without having to worry about tiny text, or the Play store telling you that apps aren't compatible.

I'm doing some reviews for Nexus 7 relevant stuff at the moment, so will let you know assuming that's all right with the Boss here ( Hi BFM) :)
