I got tired of the ugly clock.

Long click on the old clock to remove it. Swipe clock to right to add widgets.

Nexus 7 Android OS (Jelly Bean) / slopdate 4.2 by Merlin
« on: November 16, 2012, 02:05:43 PM »
Methinks the Mirrorcast is not the Grail of which we seek. It would seem that summoning the beast Netflix or Hulu and projecting it into the Circle would require 2 wyfy spells while the Nexus amulet contains only 1. Perhaps a helper spell such as the Blue Tooth or Orange Eye or Yellow Finger would be required. Or the merging of 2 amulets with sticky tape and an Ourouborus would suffice. I must consult the Leenux Grimoire.

If you're missing the music visualizer from winamp or media monkey try ProjectM. It's Milk drop on android! Really cool and trippy, way better than lava lamp. I want miracast now!

Nexus 7 Connect (MicroUSB, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, NFC, Pogo Pin) / Networking
« on: November 02, 2012, 03:47:04 PM »
I can access all shared folders of my computers over my intranet with my nexus 7, but not the reverse.

Is there any way to set up a shared folder on the nexus, or is this not supported with android?

My router internal settings see the computers file access enabled, but not any of my tablets.

Is this an android/linux, router firewall, or win7 issue?

Jellybean 4.2 will have multiuser functionality. Will this allow folder shares?

Nexus 7 Help / unlock options grayed out
« on: October 23, 2012, 10:32:14 AM »
I installed an app which required me to set a pin for tablet unlock. Brain froze and don't remember which program. Thought it might be banking app. Looking at credential storage nothing rings a bell.
Minor annoyance, just wanted to play with face unlock.

Nexus 7 Storage and Backup / lan media server and apk backup
« on: October 20, 2012, 08:50:49 AM »
I've seen a few portable media servers but I might make my own. Using a raspberry pi, an ssd, and a li-ion battery. Plug into router via ethernet for nas box, unplug and use for portable WiFi hotspot.

I just got the nexus on my lan, had to remove all windows home groups and add access to everyone.
Getting windows to do the samba is like teaching a cat to scuba dive.

Using ES file explorer have successfully played 1080p wtv movies over lan with MX player.
Can backup APks, to internal memory then move to nas.

Anyone interested? Non-rooted.
