The speakers aren't very loud, especially with the Netflix app and they face away from me, so they're hard to hear. This is worse if the dialog is subdued in the video I'm watching. Often I'll find myself putting my palm behind the speaker(s) trying to reflect the sound back toward me. But I guess that's what earbuds are for.
Well I can say I haven't watched Netflix on it yet, just movies from Google play. Compare the Netflix app volume to the transformers movie that came on the tablet. It may be a Netflix volume issue and not a hardware thing because I've been very impressed with the speaker.

I'm saying that iOS doesn't have widgets or a nice notification area and now with the project butter in 4.1 android is just as smooth. IOS is too basic to meet my needs and I really don't think it offers anything that android can't do.

You guys really do have it hard, that is such a con being charged twice for data just for tethering!!!
Its terrible. I don't know any phone provider that doesn't charge in the states. I've always heard that the networks are better in Europe and its more competitive, and everyone uses gsm in Europe as well.

I have an unlocked gnex and I use portable wifi hot spot. Remember these features cost extra and you have to be signed up for them to work unless your unlocked.
Well, that's not 100% correct. Some carriers don't charge extra to be a hotspot nor does your phone necessarily have to be unlocked.
radio
Well my apologies. Any carrier in the US will charge around 30 bucks a month for tethering. If you don't want to pay this fee for the data you already own you can buy an unlocked phone or you can root your phone and activate this feature (which requires you to unlock it as well). If you tether to a computer your phone company will catch on because your computer requests desktop sites and your phone or tablet does not. While you can still request desktop sites your device still has a mobile signature so the phone company cannot tell the difference. Does that clear things up?

It could also be a different app clashing with chrome. But your the only person I've heard of with this problem.

Nice review benjanos, have to say I disagree with one aspect though and that's that A**lpe's IOS is more polished that Android. Personally I detest the IOS look, I think Android is much more attractive but Android is also much more customizable and if you don't like it you can change it. Simples.
How is it more polished? It doesn't come close.

I've been using Netflix on my Nexus 7 almost daily and it works very well. Unfortunately, the rear speakers are kinda hard to hear so I use earbuds.
Multiple people have said this and I don't understand. I've been very impressed with the speakers. Their actually better than the gtab 2 and the Asus transformer I had.

It depends on what your doing. Just give it a try. Its free. Their are plenty of other office type apps out there that give you more features.

What kind of headset is it?
If its one for making calls you can't use it for music. It will do exactly what you described. You need Motorola S10 headphones for that. I have those and they work great for music.
As far as Skype it needs a software update to work properly with the nexus that I don't think is out yet.

The Microsoft os will follow suit to to their current mobile os with all the boxes and I can't say I'm a fan.
Its traditional though Microsoft goes after function over form so it may perform very well but won't be for me.

They most certainly will. They seem to make cases for all the major tablets and considering how good sales have been of the Nexus 7 and all the press it has received it's just a matter of weeks before they put one on their website.
Not really. They don't make a whole lot for android so I doubt it will come. I keep harrasing gumdrop to make one so maybe they will.

Usually if you give the developer a hard enough time they will update it.
