Market analysis firm 'Chitika' has released some interesting data today about how Amazon's new Kindle Fire HD tablet as well as original Kindle Fire are doing against Google's Nexus 7. Well it turns out Google's little 7 inch powerhouse is 'killing it' if I do say so myself. As you can see in the graph above, when a comparison is done between all three tablets the Nexus 7 is getting an impressive 68% of web impressions compared to 27.9% for the original Kindle Fire and 2.5% for the just released Kindle Fire HD. What makes these numbers even more impressive is that the original Kindle Fire has been out a full year while the Nexus 7 is only in its 3rd month of release, yet beats out both the old and new Kindle Fire handily.
Now granted as the holiday season progresses we are bound to see these numbers change as Amazon sells more of the newer model HD units. But with Google's firm commitment and impressive marketing of the tablet to date we expect to see strong sales numbers for the N7 as well that should keep it at the top of the non-iOS tablet world. Currently the Nexus 7 is the #1 selling Android tablet with
some analysts now predicting that it might actually take double digit market share in the tablet market as a whole in the not to distant future.
