This Friday's game spotlight is a real gem. 'Shiny The Firefly' has unique gameplay, gorgeous graphics and animations that will make you think you're playing a pixar movie. It's a side scroller that's also a work of art and you'll travel through three different worlds as you control 'Shiny' in the pursuit of his babies. I can't say enough about the graphics in this game and how nice it looks on my Nexus 7. Here, take a peak...
FEATURES:
• Great, high-quality graphics
• A charismatic character with numerous animations
• Three different worlds with a total of 33 levels, teeming with enemies, bosses, puzzles and other game elements
• Unique “Light on, light off” feature
• An all-round fully developed and intuitive game experience for everybody
In 'Shiny The Firefly' you travel through 33 progressively more difficult levels filled with all sorts of enemies, bosses, puzzles and more. You’ll have to fly, run, hide and defend yourself against a legion of enemies. Stubborn mosquitoes, hungry toads, mischievous plants, sneaky wasps, endlessly long centipedes and lots of other little, dangerous garden dwellers.
In a callback to the classic movie 'E.T.', many elements of the environment change color and animations depending on Shiny's mood...happy, concerned, tired or angry. These animations and moods will help you solve some of the trickiest elements of the game by letting you know if you're getting close or further away from a solution. In addition, since Shiny is a firefly his light serves as a gameplay element...for instance the babies can only follow Shiny to safety when he is lit up...but this also makes him an easy target for enemies. 'Shiny The Firefly' is a definite winner for the Nexus 7. It's free to play with the usual in-app options. Hit the link below to try it yourself.
