Nexus 7 Becomes First Google Device Released In India
« on: March 27, 2013, 01:19:38 AM »

It might seem hard to believe but there are some parts of the world where you still can't buy a Google device.  Not a phone or tablet.  Well you can check the nation of India off that list of have nots though as the Nexus 7 has become the first Google device to officially go on sale in the Google Play Store.   Priced at 15,999 rupees ($294) for the 16GB model it's a bit more expensive than the U.S. or U.K. price but still reasonably by Indian standards where the iPad is priced at more than many Indians make in a year.  The Nexus 7 is expected to be a big hit in India, the second most populous nation on earth with over 1.2 billion people.  We hope more than a few of them find their way to our forum as we welcome them to the Nexus 7 community.  Those who order a Nexus 7 there should see the tablet starting to ship on April 5th according to the website.  Any Nexus 7 owners that find us please say hello on the India board in the forum!
