For your reading pleasure on this beautiful Sunday, AnandTech has released their full-length 2013 Nexus 7 review with every benchmark and measurement you could hope for. Best display on an Android Tablet? Check. Best battery life on an Android tablet? Check. Great build quality and wicked fast performance? Check, Check. Receipt of the AnandTech Editor's Choice Silver Award? Check. Yes, folks, the preceding info is just a tiny bit of what you get with Anand Lal Shimpi's full 2013 Nexus 7 full length review which has so many benchmarks and technical measurements of the different parts and systems of the new Nexus 7 that we lost count. What we definitely come away with though from Anand's analysis is that the New Nexus 7 is one heck of a well thought out device and that Google went to great pains to outdo its initial N7 effort and wouldn't settle for anything less than a premium, superior device.
Now of particular note, Anand spends a great deal of time looking at the greatly improved display on the new Nexus 7. Probably smarting from a lot of negative comments about the inaccuracy of the original Nexus 7's display, Google and Asus implemented a two step calibration process in the new N7. The result is extremely good color accuracy...in fact the best of any Nexus device so far. In fact, in his words the display is just 'awesome' and blows the iPad Mini out of the water. (although, it loses out to the full sized Retina iPad 4 in some tests). He says he wouldn't even think of comparing the display to another Android device because frankly...the Nexus 7's display is just off the charts better. Yes, it's that good.
Now there's a TON more benchmarks in this review. Each and every system from the battery life to the GPS to the CPU to the GPU is measured, compared, tested and sliced, diced and stir fried to your heart's desire. If you really want to know the nitty gritty of how all the specific hardware of the Nexus 7 measures up to the competition as well as last year's model, there's no better review than the AnandTech Full Length Nexus 7 Review at the link below. Happy reading!
