How to turn off "features", including photo enhancement

I clicked on Photos and it displayed a screen saying the following (abbreviated):

Automatically back up your photos

They'll be enhanced

And combined with Auto Awesome moments

How do I turn off that stuff?

Swipe down from the top of the screen and tap settings, scroll to accounts and tap Google, then tap your email address and remove the checks from Google photos and Google+ photos.
