Gotta Favorite Picture App?

I'd like to replace the "Gallery" with 'JustPictures' but it wants me to hve an account with Picasa or Shutterbug or some other site.  I was just trying to save a pic I have in DropBox to my contacts list.   So I go to contacts, click on the contact I want to save a picture for and it says, " take a picture, or choose from Gallery"  I loaded the pic into Gallery (and later tried loading it into JustPictures) but I can never find the pic when I go to Gallery, or Justpictures.  I'm sure what I'm trying to do can be done, I just can't seem to do it in any kind of logical way.  I feel like the Gallery, or JustPictures should be easy to load a picture in to, and then I should be able to go there from my contacts and assign that pic to a contact profile.  Is there a better substitute for Gallery?? or am I doing something wrong??

Not sure about your specific issue, but I use QuickPic.  Its free, so try it out.
