As many of you have become aware today, Google is in the process of pushing out an update to the Android 4.2 OS that fixes several of the problems with that release. Probably the most talked about is the infamous 'December' glitch which left the month of December out of the 'People' app. Now there is presumed to be other fixes as well but at least one source has told the tech blog 'AndroidPolice' that the only changes in this release are the following:
Project: platform/build
d4382dd : bump version to 4.2.1
476750c : JOP40D
Project: platform/external/bluetooth/bluedroid
0d15318 : Add HID gamepad/joystick as supported HID devices
Project: platform/frameworks/base
b361b30 : Revert "NumberPicker should adjust min and max when displayed values are set." (a.k.a. Santa is back)
cc2e849 : Notification vibration improvements: [DO NOT MERGE]
As more details come in we'll update this post and of course for the breaking developments you can hit the
