hello everyone
i joined this forum to find out information about the nexus 7.  i just got 1 to look at and thinking about getting 1 for each kid but evaluating this one now.  I can not get past the select network page so am concerned that I can not work offline or if u just have to have a network to connect to the first time.  I also want to know about the cloud.  doesnt seem like there is much space on the device itself and wondering if I can upload any/all music mp3s, itunes format, etc.
and if i can upload movies.
also wondering if i can download apps when connected to my laptop computer.  it says no devices though but i can see the nexus 7 in explorer and its folders.
im not really sure where to find the answers to these things and not the most technilogically fluent.

any help would help
thanks in advance

Welcome to the forum! There is lot of information available here. If you have a question, perform a search of the main forum. Ask any question that you cannot find the answer to. Were all happy to help.

Network connection is required for initial setup. It is optional afterwards. There is an abundance of free cloud storage available. I would start with Play Music which allows 20,000 songs and Dropbox or Google Drive. These two will allow you to sync files to the nexus and can be easily accessible while being stored on the cloud.

Welcome to the forum. If you cannot connect to a network, check these two requirements.

1) Local internet access, for example, cable Internet or DSL Service

2) Local wireless access to your local Internet, through a wireless router.
