3rd Nexus and Some slightly different behavior

There is a difference between the screen being off and the tablet sleeping. If I turn  the screen off and back on wifi is still active. If I leave the screen off long enough, when I turn it on I get the lockscreen and wifi restarts.

It does seems like some program is keeping the tablet from actually sleeping, leaving wifi active and draining the battery.

OK,, now I seem to have  a the main drain being Media Server. I only use Kindle, Skype, a live wallpaper, Chrome and very occassionaly some Google Apps and I have 2 games installed.

I have nothing I didn't have on my other 3 Nexus yet I never had this before, only difference is they APS are updated and a game is different, they may be configured differently, but don't see why.

I have 1 more new app called News Republic so have turned notifications off to see what that does.

Live wallpaper is notorious for draining the battery. Do you have daydream disabled ?

I think I found the issue. Some Google apps were set to notify all sorts of stuff which I guess was waking up WiFi,GPS etc all the time.
