A Simple Camera Launcher....
« on: August 21, 2012, 10:19:16 AM »
Hey All, I just downloaded a camera launcher app from GP.  It's supposed to be a simple app, made for the N7, that launches the camera or cam.

Well, all I get when I attempt to open it is an error which says, " Undortunately, Camera has stopped."  This app is called "camera launcher" and I've emailed the author so we'll see what becomes of it.  I did try and uninstall/install but to no avail.  Anyone else try this program??

Try clearing the data and cache in "Apps"?

Either from the app tray or the three sliders in notifications> Settings> Apps

EDIT- Sorry should have checked first, there is no cache or data to clear?
Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling?

I don't have a solution, but here is a link to a thread on XDA Developers.  It was started by the developer that wrote the app.  If there is an answer, it will probably get posted here.

I used to be crazy until I found out that insane pays more.

Where am I?  What am I doing in this handbasket?

I use the MoDaCo camera app w/o problems.  Is some other app (i.e. Skype?) tying up the camera, Radio?

Yeah, I tried un/installing.  And I have seen a poster that had the same problem as me so not necessarily just on my machine.  No Skype here.  I'll try and check with the developer.

Tnx,

Ah, tnx Eventhepanther... I'll check that one out.  I think I may have stupidly deleted some file that needs to be in place to use the camera when I rooted and got rid of some stuff I didn't want.
