What do you do when you've created the #1 mobile gaming franchise of all time?  Well you stick with what you know of course and that's exactly what Rovio, makers of the 'Angry Birds' we all know and love have done with their latest release 'Bad Piggies'.   Now previously Rovio released 'Amazing Alex' as their direct follow up to the 'Birds' franchise and while it received some good critical reception it hasn't lit up the sales charts like some had hoped for the company's sophomore effort.  They seemed to have taken this to heart and come up with an interesting 'hybrid' of the building mechanics of 'Alex' with the flying of 'Birds' to create this newest game which has been much more warmly received and is already burning up the sales charts.  Here's a look at some gameplay video in the trailer below so you can see what all the fuss is about with 'Bad Piggies':

Features
● 60 levels crammed with flying/driving/crashing fun!
● 30 additional puzzles unlocked by three-starring levels!
● Free updates!
● 4 sandbox levels to stretch your creativity!
● Ultra-special, ultra-secret, ultra-difficult sandbox level to unlock by collecting all the skulls!
● 33 objects to create the ultimate machine: motors, wings, fans, bottle rockets, umbrellas, balloons, and much more!

In 'Bad Piggies' you need to put together various machines to transport your 'piggy' to the eggs he so much craves.  The machines vary from level to level and board to board and grow in complexity and behavior as you progress through the game.  You cobble your flying/crawling/rolling/spinning/crashing vehicle together with various parts from umbrellas to crates to wheels and various propulsion systems.  There's 60 levels to get through and if you get all 3 stars in a level you unlock even more levels.   There's sure to be tons more levels to come in tradition 'Rovio' fashion of growing their game over time.

Now there is the option of 'in-app' purchases to get ahead by buying the help of the 'Mechanic Pig' but it's not absolutely necessary if you're fine with taking the long way progressing through levels.  The graphics in 'Bad Piggies' are typically cute, sarcastic and well done as you would expect from a 'Rovio' game and the creativity used in designing the levels shows why 'Rovio' are the developers to beat when it comes to short episodic 'just one more board' games such as these.  If you're a fan of Angry Birds you're almost guaranteed to like 'Bad Piggies'.  It's certainly a different kind of gameplay but it preserves that 'just one more level' addiction that we all know and love from their other famous franchise.  Grab 'Bad Piggies' below.  There's both a regular and HD version you can choose from with the HD version having slightly crisper graphics and the elements sized better for the larger screen on your Nexus 7.
