Got fed up of waiting for my update so forced quit on Google Framework and then deleted data which prompts the update to happen. (Took 4 attempts mind!)

Well... I received it, but as you know, it didn't stick.

It did take 4 attempts at force stopping and clearing the data to get the OTA to show up as reported. I am now on 4.1.2 with Root.

Caution If You Are Rooted:

The OTA removed root from my tablet, but there is a simple way to retain root using Voodoo OTA RootKeeper. Maintain some patience and I will post a tutorial on forcing the OTA and retaining root tomorrow and installing from the download image.

I still haven't gotten notification. I am trying to remain patient. I am not very good at it but seeing the issues that are arising, I will wait for Prime.

It didn't seem to do anything except boot into twrp. I just rebooted the system and I am back where I was. 4.1.1. The update isn't showing up again so I don't know what is going on. I thought that I had temporarily unrooted with OTA RK.

Note, if you modified the build.prop file for screen rotation the OTA will fail and you will need to use the download and our upcoming guide.

Again if you are rooted without advanced knowledge of applying OTA's and retaining root, I suggest you wait for the guide.

Ah the rotation. Can I just get rid of that line of script?
So I figured out how to force the update but I am not sure of the steps to stay rooted after. Patience is a biotch when the carrot is being dangled in front of you. I am going to read up on OTA RootKeeper and try and figure out how to get around this.

Lol. I knew it couldn't have been that easy. I see now I am not allowed to just go in and erase the launcher command. It won't save in ROM TB.

You probably lost root.  If you did a temp-unroot or have a valid root backup, you can restore that with OTA RK.

Those of you who are unrooted should have no problems.

Rooted owners who have modified any of their system files such as build.prop, will probably get error messages, and will probably have to restore the OEM files to get successfully upgraded.

Those of you rooters who modified your build.prop file to enable auto-rotation, but didn't save a backup, can try replacing your file with this copy I made.  Rename it build.prop, and place it in your /system directory.  CBers and I and one of our moderators all had our initial upgrade installations fail because of our modified build.prop files.

I am trying to download this but there seems to be an issue when trying to open or find the file after the download.

I think you were right. I just went back in and edited the file and it let me.I then temp unrooted with OTA RK and forced the update. She is rebooting now. I will keep posted on results.
