Meet the Nexus 7's big brother, the Nexus 10! Website briefmobile scored a sneak peak at the device and has provided a ton of pictures as well as a boatload of specs. The device itself is 10.1 inches as rumored and features a super thin and light design with a brushed aluminum back and rubber feel surround for the rear camera. From the front it actually looks quite similar to its little brother but the nexus 10 includes some even beefier specs. In fact, these specs make the Nexus 10 the highest spec Android tablet ever announced till this date. Here's the details:
Nexus 10 Features:
Samsung Exynos 5250 Processor
- Clocked at 1.7 GHz
- Dual-core Cortex-A15
- Mali-T604 GPU
2GB RAM
16GB internal storage (other options possible)
10.1-inch display
- 2560 x 1600 pixel resolution
- 298.9 pixels-per-inch
5-megapixel rear-facing camera
- LED flash
Front-facing camera
NFC
WiFi
Bluetooth 4.0
Dual speakers located on front of device
Now the Exynos 5250 with Cortex A-15 architecture and Mali-T604 GPU promises benchmarks that should put it ahead of Apple's A6 as well as the Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro, especially with the full 2GB of ram aboard. Without a doubt the highlight feature of the Nexus 10 is its outstanding 2560 x 1600 display which features an incredible 298.9 pixels per inch (PPI) which surpasses even the 3rd and 4th generation iPad with its 'Retina' display which comes in at 263.92 PPI. Perhaps Samsung and Google should call this a 'Bionic Eye' display
Now with the cool hardware the guys at Briefmobile were also able to play around a bit with Android 4.2, which still goes by the name 'Jelly Bean' by the way. The rumored features such as a new Gallery App, support for multiple user accounts, Quick Settings bar as well as a new and improved camera app are all onboard.
