Hurricane
« on: October 28, 2012, 10:02:45 PM »
Been prepping for the hurricane all day and night. It's amazing how hard it is to find a C battery when you really need one. Forget about bread and milk. Praying that the electricity holds up long enough to run our little pump in the basement.
Peace.

Good luck man, I have family that is going to take a direct hit by that thing. Hope you fare well. I lived in Maryland through several hurricanes and plenty of noreaster's and I know how bad it can suck.

Thanks. We are in Philly. Seems like it's going to be bad. I spent 10 years in Miami/ Ft Lauderdale and thought that I had seen the worst of weather. I hope this one isn't as bad as last year.

I started the Boston Marathon in a noreaster a few years back and was fortunate the worst part had blown through the night before, but it was some of the worst weather this southern boy has ever seen. Hope you fair well, as I do for all of our forum members that feel the effects of the storm.

I work for the power company here in Connecticut.  I have been at work since yesterday morning, and plan to stay another 18 hours.  My staff is working 18 and 24 hour shifts until this thing blows over.  This storm actually looks like it may hit us pretty hard.

Stay safe

Day three of storm duty for the local power utility.  Probably another five to go.  Bueno.
