Yes, I saw the thread as well and 'euhow', a Taptalk developer says the issue will be fixed in the next version of Tapatalk for SMO 3.4.0.  Thanks for bringing it to my attention and I guess we'll just have to live without proper quoting for now but at least it'll be fixed relatively soon.

I wish the Tapatalk developers had hinted at a cause.  I don't see a problem using Tapatalk on one of the automotive sites I post on.  Quotes show up there properly and immediately.

Perhaps it's not an SMF forum?

No, it runs vBulletin software.  We don't know if the problem is in SMF or Tapatalk.

Since he said it would be fixed in the next version of tapatalk that's where the problem is.  Remember, Tapatalk is unrelated to the Simple Machines platform.  It is an independent app like any other.  They simply have a glitch in their app when translating the quotes from SMF so It's their job to fix it.  The quotes work fine on the nexus7forum.com site when using a browser, which is what the simple machines software is designed for.  This issue is all in tapatalk's court.

They have different plugin depending on forum type, so it's probably a problem in the SMF Tapatalk plugin.

I'm assuming Nexus 10 forum uses same forum software?

Agreed, I meant plug-in instead of app as they mentioned the next version with the plug_in #.  It's still the responsibility of tapatalk, not smf to fix it.  Sorry if I was confusing by saying 'app' instead of plug-in.  Each forum version, vBulletin, xenforo, smf, etc has a different plug_in so apparently the SMF one has a glitch.

Sounds reasonable.  If only we could create world peace, or solve some big social problem with N7 power.

I have often wondered if technology will bind the masses and override political discontent, leading the way to more world peace?

They say it could be 2 months before the plug-in is updated. Oh well. Not the end of the world.

Well, it is only 23 days to the end of the Mayan calendar.
