Welcome to the forum.
Why not just turn off auto correction?

You can also enable the Asus keyboard and give that a shot.

I tried that a while ago, wasn't impressed... I'm still thinking about putting my Swype beta back on...

The keyboard thing for me is a sore subject. I have tried many. Swift. The one with Swype and a couple other ones that  I cant even name cause it makes my head spin Even the new stock KB is annoying. IMHO each one of them has problems. If they could combine the good points out of all of them then we would have something.
I liked Swift but it caused lag and I would get the icon up in notifications constantly asking me to go into settings.

I still think Swype is the best keyboard out there, okay so it's not perfect but nearest damn to it.

If anybody wants to try Swype it's absolutely free, just sign up for Beta testing...

Swype

I use SwiftKey 3 on my S3 and the tablet version on my Nexus 7 & 10.

Once it's learned your typing, it's very good.

Get the odd irritation, but you also have to learn what the keyboard can/will do in different circumstances.
