Lost my Media sounds.

I am getting no sound from my media files, from YouTube or even using Skype. I've checked my sound volume settings and they are all turned up. When I adjust the sound volume for notifications and alarms I get sample volumes and tones,  but nothing when I try to listen to an mp3 or a video.

What little thing in my overlooking?

Fixed my own wagon.  I keep forgetting when all else fails to reboot. Problem solved.
