UK 'The Sun' Ships 200 Nexus 7s To Troops In Afghanistan
« on: December 21, 2012, 01:28:26 PM »

'The Sun', the venerable British newspaper has shipped 200 Nexus 7 tablets to British troops serving on the front lines in Afghanistan.  The devices are meant as a token of appreciation and perhaps will help pass some of the holiday time away from families.  Each Nexus 7 has a special edition app of 'The Sun' for troops to enjoy.  Troops are expected to be able to use the tablets to contact their families via email and perhaps Skype and the devices will be placed in the welfare tents so as to be available for as many troops as possible.   It's a nice gesture from 'The Sun' and good publicity to boot.

Very cool. They deserve the best of everything.  God bless our troops and Veterans.  Now how about some better armor on those Hum Vees?
