Nexus 7 sound troubleshooting
« on: December 25, 2012, 12:33:19 PM »
I've gone through quite a few forums trying to find a answer to this problem, I bought my Nexus 7 today & it was working fine with no issues, after a few hours the sound cut out randomly. I tried using headsets to see if maybe the speaker blew out but even with headsets I have no sound, sometimes a muffled noise. Any solutions to this? As it seems to be a software issue

Edit: I also made sure inside of settings that all volumes are set to max, and made sure that it was not in silent mode, still no sound from anything.

Multiple times, I also thought it might be an app disturbing it so I formatted the device back to factory default, still no luck :/

Ouch.   You've verified the hardware volume buttons work?

With out of the box issues that a factory reset did not solve, I would return it for a replacement.
