Battery time in settings
« on: December 31, 2012, 08:52:40 AM »
Hi all

I have been trying to work out how long my battery is lasting me, and when I go into settings then battery it tells me in time how many minutes ie 25 minutes on battery.

When I switch off my Nexus it resets though so I never really know how to track how long I am getting out of my battery.

Is it supposed to do this? And if so is there a way to track how long I am getting between charges?

Thanks all

Chris

Hi Chris.
Not sure why your battery info is resetting after a reboot. Mine keeps the time fine after .. So what you are saying is if you were charged 100 percent , disconnected the cord , and used the device for an amount of time you would see a breakdown of your usage correct? Apps , total time used on battery etc. Then after a reboot all of that info is gone? Are you sure you are doing this without connecting power at anytime in between? Not even sure if that will make a difference ..just trying to wrap my head around this one.

Settings> Battery...

In the graph at the to you'll see the total uptime. ;)

Jayj when does the graph reset? I just tried to reset by charging, turning off etc. I am a little confused now because I started charging my battery and everything stayed the same. So that wouldn't give you an accurate time right? Do you have to start with a full charge?

This is getting weird and more weird. When I look at what's been using battery it says screen 33%.fair enough but when I click on it if says its been on for 13mins and the second.

That's impossible though as I have been using nexus for last hour solid?

I'm stuck!

Well at the end of the day it's not doing what it should and is therefore faulty, so yes they said they would replace it

Attached are 2 screen shots, as you can see the screen on time is very low I have practically had the screen on for 3 hours and yet this seems to think it's hardly been on at all.

Edit. How do you attach pics lol
