Windows 7 on the Nexus 7...?
« on: January 02, 2013, 04:18:07 AM »
Oay hear me out, a while back I was successfully able to install Win7 Home Premium on an Asus Eee 701SD which if you know anything about Eee PCs is a REALLY low end 7 inch laptop from '07.

So now I have Edi in front of me, freshly rooted with an unlocked bootloader.

In your opinions, would it be possible (at least theoretically) to install Windows 7? What would be the steps/obstacles? Would it be worth it?

Good stories are not made, but born. To watch one awaken at your fingertips is a gift of indescribable proportions.

No it isn't possible because Windows 7 needs a x86 processor to run. The nexus 7's processor is based on ARM architecture. You can try with emulation through Bochs or Limbo though.
