Buying a nexus abroad

Hi,

I'm from the UK, and I'm currently living in Germany. I don't speak German, and I won't be here forever, so, I'd like the nexus 7 that I buy to be British for all intents and purposes. However, I'm itching to get my hands one as fast as possible. So, my question is, if I buy a Nexus 7 over here, can I sign up to the UK google play store when it arrives? Is there any chance that I would be able to pay for UK store purchases with a German credit card?
