New to Nexus 7, from Florida
« on: April 03, 2013, 09:55:19 PM »
Hello,

I am new to the Nexus 7 forum boards. I have had my Nexus since last November. I love it but, I have a problem. I seem to have misplaced it or it was stolen. I remember there was some way I could track its location, but I don't know how. I would appreciate any help you can give.

Thank You, Rblanka

Well come. If you installed a program like lookout security, it may be possible. The tablet would need to be password or pin protected so that it couldn't be reset. Hope you find it.

I would change any passwords immediately.
You would need to have installed a special app to locate or wipe your device remotely. It is not a stock option.

Thank You for replying. I have a pin number on it for security, but I didn't know I had to install another app to find it. I remember something about being able to find when I first set it up, but that is all. Oh well, I hope it turns up. If it does I will be much more careful. If it doesn't I'll just wait for the new Nexus tablet, but I do feel a little heart broken. Thanks, Rblanka

Thank GOD, I found it! I will be much more careful from now on. It doesn't help that the cover is black and I set it on a black chair. I installed Lookout security. Thanks for the tip.

Take a look at this, just in case you loose it again...

Well worth the few bucks for a lifetime license.
