question re: music apps

Are there any music apps, with a full equalizer (and possibly a widget, album cover access), etc. that can access one's music in the Google cloud --

Or, do all music apps (Google Play Music aside) only access the music that is specifically loaded on the device?

I was checking out the n7 player app, and it appears to me that it can only access the music stored on the device; since I don't store music on my device, am I forever stuck with Google Play Music?

No there isn't any 3rd party music applications that can access your music on GPM. There is however an application on XDA called GMusicFS, that allows you to access your GPM from another 3rd Music application. Unfortunately or fortunately as the case may be, you need root access for this app to work.

That's totally your choice martyh, just answering your post as best as best I can... Also if anybody else reads this thread they may decide to root or already be rooted.

Unfortunately then there's no alternative.
