Hi Guys
This is a cute gadget that works on both Nexus 7 2012 & 2013
I've just order one for $12 + $3 shipping

Nice find dominic. When looking the vendor site, i did notice the following for our Nexus 7's:

--- Quote ---Galaxy Nexus, Google Nexus 7 (2012 Original & 2013 New) & Nexus 10; requires third-party software or device being rooted.
--- End quote ---

Not taking away from the device, but my interpretation is that the device works like a compact OTG cable. This requires Nexus media reader, Nexus media importer, or Root and Stickmount for the device to function on the Nexus 7. Notably, Root and Stickmount is the only option to write to the device from your Nexus 7 with OTG, that I have seen.

I look forward to you receiving the device and reporting on any OTG variation. The compact design is interesting and would eliminate me carrying an OTG cable, a Usb card reader, and  a Micro-Usb  card adapter. I have enough stuff to carry as it is and $15 is a small price to pay to eliminate baggage. ;D

Hi S Prime
I will surely post my "experience" once I get a hold of it. However, it will be around mid-October since I will be out of the country starting tomorrow (on a cruise from Marseilles, France ) and will return around Oct 14
I always am a sucker for these gadgets
LOL

Thanks for this Dom. I have a Samsung camera that uses micro SD. It is JB/ Android based but I have yet to find the fastest way of transferring photos. It seems Samsung has a lot of proprietary "bloatware" that I haven't figured out how to play well with Asus. Bluetooth works but is slow. Google plus , Facebook, Picasa etc..and so on are cool but I don't like uploading everything to galleries...this seems like a fast plug and play option

bjs, you have Dropbox right? Have the Galaxy camera auto upload to DB and then just take what you need when you need it...
