Connect Nexus 7 to HDMI?

(1/2) > >>

WojtekK1902:
Hello everybody!
I was looking for some information regarding possible connection between Nexus 7 (1st gen.) and HDMI. On this forum I've read that it's not possible because of lack of MHL adapter. However, in another topic, I've read something about WiFi HDMI dongle.
Could you please tell me what is right answer - is it possible to connect Nexus 7 to TV via HDMI?
Thank you in advance.

I don't know anything about an HDMI Dongle but what about a Chromecast? It's does have limited functionality but that depends on what you want to display on the TV. Chromecast supports You Tube, Netflix, Hulu and Google Play Music. Unfortunately there is currently no way to send anything stored locally on the device.

Hello,
Thank you for your reply. Unfortunately, Chromcast isn't available in my country... :(
Is there any possibility to connect Nexus 7 with TV via some kind of cable or whatever?

Can't you order one on Ebay?

The first generation nexus 7 does not have an HDMI solution. There was some hope for miracast with a TV dongle but the single band WiFi doesn't have enough throughput. The second generation nexus 7 has dual band WiFi and slimport so it can use miracast or a USB/slimport cable connected to HDMI. IMO, of course.
