Put to sleep
« on: July 26, 2012, 11:55:15 AM »
Is there a way to put the N7 to sleep, aside from just waiting until it goes to sleep on its own?  When the airplane is taking off, the N7 can't be on, but I don't want to power it off, either.

Swipe down from the top of the display and then click on the settings icon (3 horizontal sliders), then click on more under wireless and networks and select "airplane mode", this will turn off all wireless connectivity qnd still allow you to use your tablet.

You can't use the N7 in airplane mode during takeoff either.

Is that due to the GPS?

Its due to the FAA/airlines saying turn off anything with a power switch during takeoff/landing.

To the OP... you do know you can tap the power button and put it in sleep right?

Frank, thanks.  That's the answer I needed -- "tap the power button"
