Do we expect the 2012 Nexus 7 to receive this version?

Will the Nexus 7 2012 get the Android l update?

I don't know and don't really care.  My 7 is working just fine the way it is.  It does everything I want it to.
I used to be crazy until I found out that insane pays more.

Where am I?  What am I doing in this handbasket?

Answer now is definitely yes.  Timing is uncertain but looks like early November it will roll out, first to Nexus devices.

Has anybody gotten it yet?  Any comments on performance, Material Design, or anything else?

A bit better now, the update turned on notifications for all apps. After turning most off one at a time, it seems snappier.

My Nexus 7 (First Gen) received Android 5 last night.
It is a little slow, has several cosmetic changes....
Don't know how I feel about it yet.... May roll back to 4.4.4

I have it. Slow, jerky, hangs. Effectively unusable. Will revert when I find out how to

Definitely needs another update. Wiped cache in recovery and storage, no improvement. Resorted to force GPU in 2d and limit background apps to 3 in developer settings. I think there's a glitch in the oom out of memory management.

That's on the 2012, the 2013 should be better with 2GB ram. Mine is being repaired.

Any improvement?  Did you revert, or...?

No. But it is much better when battery saver is on so I will wait for Google to fix it,  I hope.

Finally after 3 weeks on 5.0 with sluggish performance my Nexus 7 (2012) has finally come back to life. Was about to do factory reset, but it now looks like its running much faster. Battery Saver is Off.
