Great guide S.Prime.
I already do exactly as you have posted, but I do wipe the data area after rooting via TWRP rather than a factory reset.
I also copy my Titanium backup to my PC rather than the cloud for speed.
Also export settings from several apps as not all settings are backed up/restored fully.
These include Nova Launcher, AndFTP and ES FILE EXPLORER.

Thanks, CBers, I have incorporated your suggestions into the guide.

Is the Storage Space issue a bug, or just a consequence of using a toolkit ??
Does anyone know ??

As I understand it, it is an occasional consequence of using the "No Wipe" feature, when loading a factory image. I have only had it happen once on my Nexus 10 and even the factory reset did not fix it, so I had to use TWRP and format the data partition to recover the entire space.
