Nexus 7 or Galaxy Tab 2

Hi Guys,

Need your help. I am not able to decide which tablet to buy between these 2 ? Any input ?

TIA

It was an easy choice for me.  The N7 has a faster processor, better screen resolution, and the newest Android OS.  The SGT2 has SD card expandability.

Exactly, you're gaining a chance to upgrade memory with sd cards, BUT< you're losing everything else listed above. I had a Kindle Fire, which had the same resolution as the Galaxy Tab 2, and believe me, you can see a huge difference between the Nexus 7 and Kindle Fire in resolution. Great screen on the Nexus 7, super fast and smooth processor and OS on  the Nexus 7, love mine.

Thanks for replying guys. I was confused because costco has a mfr coupon starting 08/16 for $40 off tab 2 10.1 (they sell it for 379.99).

So not able to decide which one to go for (for 90 dollars getting 10" screen plus rear facing camera). But  quad core processor of nexus 7 and ICS looks so much better .. .

wish galaxy had ICS too. Do you know if we can upgrade the OS in tab 2 ( not an android guy).

There isn't any 3G/4G connectivity.  Personally, I kind of like not being tied to a carrier and all of their bloatware.  On the rare occasions that I have no WIFI access, it's easy to tether.

Almost every review you read lets us know that there isn't an HDMI out port.  That doesn't matter much to me.  I have a HDMI port on my other tablet.  I've used it exactly one time.  When I first got the machine, I plugged it in to see how the output looked on my television.  I think I'll be able to cope without an HDMI port on the Nexus tablet.

There isn't a Secure Digital expansion slot.  I purchased the 16 GB model, so I'm hoping that I won't miss it.  I've never filled up the expansion data cards on either my phone or my other tablet.

I only have two real complaints about the Nexus tablet.  The on/off button is placed in a corner of the case and I am constantly accidentally bumping it and turning the machine off.  I also wish the speakers were a little louder.
