Power "Off" or "Hibernate (Sleep)" ?

Wondering how folks shut down their N7

Sleep mode allows for "instant on" but consumes power.  How much of a battery drain?

Of course "power-on" action uses extra power and ages components.

What's the best policy ?

JayJ:
Depends on when and how you use your N7...

If I going to use it soon then just press the power button once to lock and put the N7 into standby mode, press power button again to unlock and wake your N7.
If your not going to use it for a while, like over night etc then long press the power button to bring up the power menu and select Power off to turn your N7 off.

Ultimately it's up to you the user but this is how I use my N7.

Thanks!

Another question while I have your attention.

Would like to mute the N7 speakers and play sound through my headphones.  Thought N7 would work like every other device I've used -- plug in headphone jack and sound transfers.  Does not happen with my N7!

Is there an option somewhere I' should have set ???

frank:
That's exactly how the N7 works with my headphones.  Make sure you're getting the plug all the way in.  You have to give the connector a solid push into the N7 to seat it all the way.
