yahoo mail app
« on: August 26, 2012, 10:42:03 AM »
New to nexus 7.

I can't figure out how to act on an email when I'm reading it. Like delete it or file it. Looks like I have to backup to inbox first. Surely I'm missing something. This is the yahoo email app I'm referring to. I can figure it out if using the native email app.

Also can't figure out how to save a picture (but can from native email).

Big thanks for any help. Tried search but didn't find much. If I'm posting this in wrong place...be gentle. :)

I also found the Yahoo email app somewhat difficult to use. I suggest setting up your Yahoo email account in the native email client on the Nexus 7. If you are unfamiliar with the terminology the native email app is the one with the open envelope with the “@” on the flap. You can setup multiple email accounts and it will work for imap or pop email. I have not tried exchange email, because I use Enhanced Email as it works without any issues with imap, pop, and exchange email.

I use exchange for my Hot mail account, not that I use it much but it's there just incase.

To act on an email, tap on the 3 dots in the very bottom right of the screen.  That is the "menu" button and shows up in lots of apps.

For pictures, they open like any other attachment.  Once opened, they auto save to /sdcard and you can access them from a file explorer app or picture app.

Bingo! 3 little dots at bottom. I knew there had to be a way. Thanks frank!
