nexus 7 wifi

(1/1)

thesmeee:
Hi
im looking at getting a nexus 7 tablet next payday. now my brother said i have a 802.11n wifi router at home and that he had heard that the nexus in the UK and US had been reported to have had a lot of trouble with n type routers.
is this true?
ive looked around, google and searchbar and found many bewildering answers relating to it, 2.4 ghz, 5ghz, router setting, best make and model ect. but i dont understand a fraction of it.
all i really want to know is, if i buy it will it work?

sorry for such a basic question

Hope somebody can help me out on this

Paul

JayJ:
What router is it?

I have a Virgin Media Super Hub and apart from the usual problems with the build quality of the Super Hub my Nexus works fine with it, the SH is an N driver type.

I have a netgear and it connected fine  :) BUT my son has a Buffalo and the Nexus 'sees' it but will NOT connect  :( .  Not sure why yet.

S.Prime:
First check to see if the Buffalo router has MAC Address Filtering enabled. If it is add the N7's MAC address to the allowed MAC addresses or disable the filtering.
