Hi there guys I'm here again for a NEW update here, I also tried Franco.Kernel but I didn't like it, it seems to drain the battery faster than stock EVEN without OC'ing it. I then looked up some other kernels for it ( mostly battery concerned too ) and found M-Kernel. It's great IMO all around because it does GREAT battery life, even with a bit of over clocking ( 1.5 ghz ) and has nice performance too. Also I downloaded Real Racing 3 and it has VERY FAST fps. Down the road I might revert to stock clock speed and have a bowl of cereal ( no, not tea I'm 11 ) then be happy with it. I also included the Nexus 4 in my root mania and currently has a custom kernel too. Thanks for reading guys. ##YoshiDrei##

Update: I'm testing the kernel on 1.6 ghz and currently running CyanogenMod 10.1 RC2 and maybe later the Paranoid Android rom will be flashed. Loving the root access.

Hi there guys, it's me Yoshi with GREAT NEWS! I finally rooted my device ( easily with NRT ) on 4.2.2 and after knowing that the stock kernel sucks for overclocking, guess what? Installed the Motley kernel with TWRP ( easily yet again ). I noticed in games that WHOOOA! it's fast as hell too. In the browser the scrolling feels ALOT faster and responsiveness has been improved too. I'm also surprised about this because it's quite easy to do, even for a 11 year old guy like me in a very short time. I was expect tons of bootloops and my device being a new paperweight for my homework, BUT no it made my life ALOT faster and saved myself from crying over my dead 7'. It's also value here because, here in the Philippines we actually ( brace yourselves ) PAY for root and unlocking of devices in "tiangges" = cheap gadget stores and stuff. So yeah, thanks for reading my GREATEST achievement of this summer season. :-) :-) :-)

Thanks for the feedback guys, But for Pope I think that that screen issues you're having are from the rushed production due to high demand so the yellowish hue is the glue or adhesive so yeah. Thanks form the feedback guys. :-). ##YoshiDrei##

Well, I got that money from my earned lunch money. It also helps that here in the Philippines Christmas presents are money so we earned are used for stuff we like. I'm also a huge system update freak so having Nexus devices help. Yoshi

Nexus 7 General Discussion / Best tablet EVER!!!« on: March 26, 2013, 10:23:41 PM »
Hi there guys, it's me Yoshi and I am going to present to you my "long term" review/test of my Nexus 7. I got mine on August 16, 2012 as a birthday present for my 11th Birthday (YAY). Through the months I have been receiving very good compliments about the games I run on it and they cannot identify what model it is. Today is March 27, 2013 ( 8 months later) and after all the things we have come through, THIS is the most amazing: As I was watching a YouTube video on it, I washed my hands with the Nexus 7 on my other hand and after being shocked by the sounds in the video, I DROPPED it on the SINK with water on it. After that I got my cloth and wiped the water off. I noticed that the sounds were weakened for about a minute or two then BAM back to normal. So far this is my best Androidâ„¢ device (even though I have a Nexus 4). It also has GREAT quality and value for its price. I also installed some great games for the Tegra 3 chip set. It has impressed my friends and most importantly, my parents. Sometimes they hate me because I also noticed that it has a VERY high reception for Wi-Fi which absolutely kills their Wi-Fi signals LOL. Anyways thanks for reading through my mini "long term" review. ##YoshiDrei##

Nexus 7 Games / Real Racing 3« on: March 26, 2013, 09:09:19 AM »
Hey there guys it's me Yoshi and I'm here to present to you my honest opinions about the new addition to the Real Racing franchise, Real Racing 3. This game is available on the Play Store as a "free" app with in app purchases which (in my case NO) could be a great deal breaker for you guys. The game has many "tiers" which you have to compete in to be able to progress to the next "tiers". It also has approximately 46 (I think) cars that range from your Japanese "tuner" cars to the American "muscle" cars and most importantly (drum roll please) the Italian "exotic" cars. It has many licensed race tracks from around the world including: Silverstone in UK, Mount Panorama in Australia and MANY more. Although things here might be so promising there is just one little thing I want to sort out, the apps "freemium" type of gameplay needs you to spend REAL money just to have "gold" which is the much higher type of currency in the game. The gold is needed to speed up repairs, deliveries, buy expensive cars, and to respray your cars paint (seriously?) . Thank you for reading through my own review of the game Real Racing 3. (I made this at night so there might have been things that were missed out so I'm going to edit this things later on).

The Lounge: Off Topic Forum / Does anybody have a Nexus 4 here? Post your comments below« on: January 12, 2013, 10:50:31 PM »
Hi there guys. I'm here to ask if you guys have got yourself a Nexus 4. I know that it has been very rare in the USA but here in the Philippines we are still having constant supply in our local tech stores. It also has been a long time since I posted here because I am also a member of the Nexus 4 Forums which ( I think ) is a partner forum of this forum. It has been a great experience to have one and given the fact that is still kind of rare in public places here in the Philippines ( iPhones aplenty ) it gets all of the questioners and admirers because of the "glittery" backing. It has been a great gaming device for weeks because of it's SnapDragon S4 PRO processing unit. Anyways, thanks for viewing this thread and please feel free to comment down below if you have one or if you would like to ask some questions. -Yoshi-

For some reason you might have noticed that I'm not that active on this forum. This is because I got a sweet Nexus 4. It was very fast like my Nexus 7. Anyways, I'll will still be active on this forum. And to other Nexus 4 owners, you should register on our sister forum: www.nexus4forum.org. -Yoshi-

Nexus 7 News - - Front Page Comments and Discussion / Re: Nexus 7 App Spotlight: 'Lookout - Security & Antivirus'« on: December 18, 2012, 07:33:26 PM »
I actually tried that once on my old Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc S. I enjoyed it at first but when I have found a better anti-virus it cannot be uninstalled. Now I use AVG anti-virus on my Nexus 7 and I was more satisfied with the options it offers. It can also be uninstalled unlike the Lookout anti-virus. That was just my opinion anyways, Lookout is also great if you do not mind the problem in uninstalling it. -Yoshi-

The Lounge: Off Topic Forum / How To Turn The Developer Options in Jellybean 4.2.1« on: December 15, 2012, 02:32:27 AM »
While having some exploration on my Nexus7, I discovered that there was no Developer Options in the last update. I tried searching for it for hours. When days passed I tried to do the Bean Flinger easter egg in the About Tablet portion, there I discovered that when you do the thing to the Build Number ( not sure, will check) it will recognize you as a developer so it lets the Developer Options appear again. If this helps you, Please give me a reply. :-) :-) :-) -Yoshi-
