Bit of a noob so this may be a stupid question but how will safe mode let me identify rouge apps?

What exactly does safe mode do? I will try that when I get home.

Is your N7 rooted? If so then go download stickmount and file manager from the play store. Stick mount will allow your N7 to recognize it and then use file manager to find your MP3 player folder. When n file manager you will need to find a file called SD card or something of that sort.

If your not rooted... well, I'm not sure what to tell you.

EDIT: reread your post. This should work for taking files from your MP3 to your N7 but I'm not sure about the other way around.

I usually wait until it gets below 30%. If it is above that it is enough to get me through a school day. On the weekend however I usually charge it for an hour or so in the morning regardless of the battery. Unless of course it is like 80% or above. Or if at the end of the day it is below 30% I will charge over night. I have done a factory reset 3 times now and only installed apps I really need for everyday use and it may have helped a small amount but it is not noticeable.

I am on stock ROM and kernel. I have never done any over clocking or voltage stuff.

I have done two factory resets since this thread started and I have had no improvements. The second time I installed only very essential apps.

Could this have anything to do with the fact that my nexus is rooted? The only thing I can think of now would be to unroot and relock my nexus and see f it changes anything.

Thank you again guys for all your help.

Can you check yours and see if there is one called system with like the picture? K used to have an app that had that name and symbol but it seems odd that it would be taking up the much of the CPU unless it was actually the system.

No idea how to do that. Nice name though. I like it.

Anyone have any ideas? The only thing I can think of is a factory reset.

Is OS manager a built in function? All I found on the market was is monitor. From what that is telling me, my CPU is being hogged by an app that. Have already deleted. It was an off market app so my guess is it left something behind when I uninstalled it.

Just to note. My battery was at 51% when I started typing that post. It is now at 45%.
